Digital, Data Analytics, and Automation (DDAA) offer the potential to improve operational efficiency across various areas of the upstream value chain, leading to better insights and faster decisions using digital capabilities. In November 2024 the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) organized a DDAA conference in Bangkok that showcased digital and automation applications to upstream. 

AUI Systems presented on applying our cognitive computing IP to assess complex risks and hazards in offset wells in the session on “AI & ML Breakthroughs: Game Changing Case Studies and Insights”. The presentation included case studies where cognitive computing automatically analyzed complex well construction activity sequences to delineate lost time and associated risks by utilizing a granular understanding of unstructured drilling reports. Our team appreciated the interesting observations and questions from participants that might contribute to further application cases of our IP.
